Central Metaphor: The accidental creation of a three-panel painting as a metaphor for the triarchic theory of intelligence. Also, each supporting character is representative of different aspects of the model of self-government.

Artistic Inquiry: Murder Once Experienced
Research: The writings of David A. Kolb, especially Experiential Learning: Experience as the Source of Learning and Development (1984).
Central Metaphor: The steps of a murder investigation are used to explain the experiential learning cycle. Each suspect also represents one of the four learning styles described by the Learning Styles Inventory.
